We’re honored to be part of an award-winning production about a submersible vehicle close to our hearts (and home): Alvin, one of the deepest-diving human-occupied submersibles in the world.
Co-produced by South Florida PBS and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Changing Seas: Alvin, Pioneer of the Deep won a Suncoast Regional Emmy for Environment/Science – Long Form Content. In the midst of the pandemic (winter 2020-2021) we contributed to the program as a remote production team based in Woods Hole, where Alvin and crew are located. Our interviews and footage with Alvin program manager and pilot Bruce Strickrott, WHOI biologist Tim Shank, and Adam Soule, the former head of the National Deep Submergence Laboratory, were used extensively in the 26-minute program.
