We were thrilled to join Art Basel in Miami Beach again this month for the largest art fair in the hemisphere. It’s our fourth year filming the Conversations program and art highlights for worldwide press, but each year has an interesting new twist. For the first time, we live-streamed the Conversations to YouTube and Facebook, and watched the comments roll in from around the world. Our favorite talks included Christo (who was the only panelist in 19 talks to not sit down, a testament to his longevity!) and the role of art institutions in activism. It’s a master class in art world realities and bit-rate tweaking, made all the more enjoyable by working with TrimTab Media, OnSet Media and the Convention Center AV staff (not to mention the 75-degree weather in Miami).
