The pandemic has shown us just how reliant we are on the Internet. Like it or not, the need for reliable, fast Internet is here to stay.

FalmouthNet is an ambitious proposal that asks residents of Falmouth, MA to imagine a community-based alternatives to the current monopoly on slow-tech Internet. The challenge with this project is to get support for an idea that is not yet fully defined—or available.

Ultimately, this short video helped the non-profit FalmouthNet introduce its ideas to the community and garner support for a Town Meeting initiative. It also led us to switch our business Internet provider from the biggest telecomms monopoly in the nation to the nonprofit, locally-based OpenCape!
