At the conclusion of a multi-year, multi-agency project, the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (WBNERR) convened a web-based conference to give wetland managers an overview of its Marsh Sustainability and Hydrology Project modeling tool. We produced a 5-minute video showcasing the tool and its value for coastal planning, which was played on the conference platform as well as eventual posting on the project website.
Given a two-week deadline, we based this video around voiceover to ensure accurate structure. We shot interview and B-roll with a model user, as well as breathtaking aerials from the Great Barnstable Marsh. Additional fieldwork footage by producer Laura Castoñon filled out the story about how real-life models of marsh hydrology can help us prepare for future sea level rise and ecosystem sustainability.
