We dove deep (and ate a lot of peanut butter & honey sandwiches) to produce this story for the geo-phile website Atlas Obscura. Featured as part of the site’s Gastro Obscura series, we reveal all about scientists and engineers eat while diving 14,000 feet below the ocean surface. We made good use of footage from our previously-produced Alvin series, and conducted the interview with Alvin pilot Bruce Strickrott inside the sub, while eating a sandwich assembled by our producer. (That’s a first!)

Still wondering what they’re eating in there? Climb in and find out – and remember, it’s the view, not the food!
